62 year old executive producer Kathleen Kennedy is one of the most successful and influential film producers in Hollywood with a long list of Box Office hits added to her name which include the following titles; Indiana Jones, The Jurassic Park trilogy, The Goonies, Lincoln, Schindler’s list, The Sixth Sense, Signs, War Horse, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret life of the Unicorn, Ponyo, Congo, Cape Fear, Back to the Future trilogy and E.T.
Kathleen Kennedy is currently the new chairman of Lucasfilm and was designated by Walt Disney Studios in 2012 to take charge of the Star Wars franchise and help supervise the new upcoming Star Wars films set to be released in the next five years. Kathleen Kennedy has high hopes that the new seventh instalment of the Star Wars franchise is able to replicate the same critical and financial success she has received in the past.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens has already been predicated by many established film critics as a film that would most likely break existing box office records but it is still yet to be decided whether such an outcome will take place. Kathleen Kennedy is already responsible for three of the most highest grossing movies of all time and there is no reason why Star Wars cannot be included to her successful resume.
Kathleen Kennedy has earned a reputation in tinseltown for being demanding and results driven and would not want anything less than blockbuster success for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Kathleen Kennedy’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens is scheduled to be released worldwide next month on December 18, 2015.
