The first video and the first single have finally arrived. Nicki Minaj‘s more than anticipated brand new album Queen is exactly the big project we have been all waiting for.
“Ganja Burn” is the first cut she has officially released, after the release of the album worldwide last Friday, August 10. Cf course, it has been long teased and she has actually made her fans crazy over it, but the final result is great.
The “FEFE” singer has made everything more intriguing as she has presented the whole album herself, on air, during her first radio programme, Queen Radio, which just kicked off last week. What a moment full of news for her!
More than 6 minutes of artistic video accompany “Ganja Burn”; we must admit that premature versions of the song and video surfaced online last month but today, she comes through with the high quality, official version, directed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
This first single is also the opening track of the album and a reproduction of the cover; the clip is the perfect reflection of the melody, characterized by oriental-like sounds, and the visuals are all in orange-brown tones, where Nicki appears covered by sand in the role of an Egyptian queen.
Her success is no surprise, it is just a by-product of this incredible work.
