Disney has dropped their final trailer for their upcoming live-action retelling of Beauty And The Beast. The new trailer is a whole 30 seconds longer than the last trailer, which was released two months ago.
The trailer makes no secret of the gorgeous, romantic production design and costumes created to set the original story’s French Rococo background. The trailer features scenes that fans of the 1991 film had all fallen in love with – the dancing kitchen, Gaston and Le Fou’s rough and energetic pub song, and the romantic ballroom dance between Belle and the Beast.
This trailer also includes the first listen to the Ariana Grande and John Legend remake of the film’s classic theme “Beauty And The Beast”. The original duet, sung by Canadian singer, Celine Dion, and American singer, Peabo Bryson, was released as a single in November 1991. The single charted highly and won a Grammy for the Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals.
Beauty And The Beast will retell the beloved story of a beautiful and independent young woman taken prisoner by a cursed beast in his castle, before learning to overcome her fear of the Beast’s physical appearance and realize the kindness within.
The film stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, and Luke Evans as Gaston. Also featured as supporting cast are Hollywood household names Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen, and Emma Thompson. Beauty And The Beast is set to hit theatres near you on Friday, March 17, so be sure to check it out!
