Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy stars as the main protagonist in a brand wild western called A Million Ways To Die In The West. MacFarlane’s work often contains a lot of satirical comedy and this is no different. The film depicts the life of sheep farmer Albert played by MacFarlane, who is dumped by his girlfriend played by Amanda Seyfriend (Mamma Mia, Mean Girls) because of his refusal to take part in a duel.
Charlize Theron plays the town newcomer who helps MacFarlane with his confidence and courage. The film is set in 1882 Arizona and mainly demonstrates the most comedic ways in which people may have died during that time – the trailer begins with a scene where a massive ice block is being transported into town, only for it to fall and crush someone.
If you enjoyed Seth MacFarlane’s film TED, then you will definitely enjoy this film. He is able to create the funniest punch lines from inanimate objects. His approach to comedy in film is somewhat similar to the method applied to his TV shows Family Guy and American Dad. The film will be in UK cinemas on June 6, 2014.
