Heavy metal band Slipknot will play nine UK dates as part of their Prepare For Hell tour with support from nu-metal band Korn. Promising “All new masks” for the shows, Slipknot will play dates in Sheffield, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, London, Cardiff, Nottingham and Birmingham. Slipknot lead singer, Corey Taylor, said “The UK has always been very special for us. In a lot of ways, it’s where this insanity began. So for this tour, we decided to try and hit as many places as we could – not only England, but Scotland and Wales as well. Technically Ireland is Europe, but we’re going there, too”.
The tour announcement comes a week before new album, .5: The Gray Chapter is released (October 20). .5: The Gray Chapter will be the masked bands’ first album since the death of founding member Paul Gray and last years’ departure of former drummer Joey Jordison. Tickets for Slipknot’s UK tour are priced from £39.90 and go on sale this Friday (October 17) at 9am:
