The official trailer for Like Sunday, Like Rain, starring Billie Joe Armstrong, has been released. The Green Day frontman plays a troubled boyfriend in the film. It is set to open in selected cinemas across US cities in March, including New York on March 13 and LA on March 20. Read the description of the film and watch the trailer below. “Surrounded by wealth and living with abundant resources in Manhattan, 12-year-old cello prodigy Reggie, lives a solitary life lacking only frequently absent parents and friends. Estranged from family, having slacker boyfriend troubles, and fired from her waitressing job, sometimes musician 23-year-old Eleanor needs a new place to live and a new job“.
In other Green Day news, Billie Joe said in a recent interview that the band would be regrouping this year but need some family time first; “We have a lot of heavy stuff going on right now. Everyone needs to be with their families. We keep in touch with each other. If I was to say, “Hey man, let’s make a record right now!” they’d be like, “Are you out of your fucking mind?” I realize that. It’s good to have a little bit of distance from the creative process because you end up wanting to get back to it even more when the time is right“. Could this mean the return of Green Day in 2015? After two years away after their UNO! DOS! TRE! trilogy, it’ll be amazing to see them back.
