Dave Grohl’s fan letter to Fugazi and Minor Threat man, Ian Mackaye has surfaced on Twitter. While still at school, Grohl penned a short letter to one of his biggest influences, including his phone number and a request for contacts in the music industry. The tweet below shows the 1983 letter addressed from ‘David Grohl’ and was unearthed by the Fugazi musician – it was sent long before Grohl joined Nirvana in 1990. Since that point, Grohl has met and became friends with many of his influences (including Mackaye) – oh to be famous.
