A PSA video titled “23 Ways You Could Be Killed If You Are Black In America”, presented by Alicia Keys, Mic and the We Are Here Movement has been released, focusing on the trivial reasons police brutality has been excused for in America, giving a host of recent examples following in the wake of protests across America and the Black Lives Matter movement.
The video features a host of celebrity names including Beyonce, A$AP Rocky, Rihanna, Chance The Rapper, Bono, Janelle Monae, Kevin Hart and Lenny Kravitz amongst others. Beyonce makes reference to the St Paul shooting of Philando Castle with the reason of “riding in your girlfriend’s car with a child in the back”, whilst Chance The Rapper has the very simple but powerful “making eye contact” which harks back to last years death of Freddie Gray.
