And it’s finally here! Or maybe not. Frank Ocean, almost a month later, released his sophomore album, follow up to the incredible channel ORANGE… and it’s not Boys Don’t Cry, nor it contains a track so called.
As a matter of fact, the R&B superstar released a visual album in partnership with Apple Music called Endless, which features collaborations with Sampha, Arca, Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood and Jazmine Sullivan.
However, as Frank anticipated in April, when he declared “[…] I got two versions”, an Apple representative told Pitchfork to “keep an eye out this weekend for more Frank”: it is most likely that Boys Don’t Cry will be released as a proper album over the weekend, once again under an exclusive agreement with Cupertino’s streaming service.
We waited four years, but it seems like two full-length albums are on their way.
