The London Short Film Festival is back for the fourteenth edition and looks better than ever!
The LSFF is recognized as the premier UK showcase for cutting-edge UK and international independent film and has been nurturing the very best of the country’s young talent from film, music, art and fashion. Every year the festival offers screenings of new documentaries, experimental and fictional short films, special events and Q&As throughout London’s exciting and artistic venues.
This year, the LSFF takes a look at past and present subcultures and youth culture. The festival will highlight the riot grrrl movement and look at how women took hold of the music scene and later inspired women filmmakers.
The festival will also pay tribute to Davie Bowie by showcasing a program of shorts capturing the man and his extraordinary career from his experimental beginnings to his golden years. Also showcased at the festival, adaptations from the late US short story writer, Raymond Carver, and the LGBT work of London filmmaker, Annette Kennerly.
The London Short Film festival opens today (January 6) until the Sunday, January 15 and will take place at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Moth Club, PictureHouse Central and Hackney Picturehouse with tickets starting at £6.
