During last weekend, the Foundation for AIDS Research – amfAR – has hosted its third annual amfAR Gala Hong Kong.
It is worldwide known for its internationally high-profile set of supporters including famous names from the fields of entertainment, fashion, business and philanthropy.
Charlize Theron was present as honorary chair reiterating how important is the need of finding a cure: “I have worked in AIDS and HIV prevention for most of my life, coming from South Africa. I’m here supporting amfAR tonight because the work they do is really important”.
For the occasion, Theron wore a splendid shimmering black Yves Saint Laurent dress featuring sequin detail with a high slit up the front and a vertiginous cut on the gown.
Naomi Campbell was also among the guests and she stepped out in a gorgeous floor-length white gown designed by Ralph & Russo.
Of course, there was room for good music as Mark Ronson’s DJ set and Charli XCX’s performance lighted up the night. For the night, the “I Love It” singer chose to wear Stella McCartney’s sustainable fashion both on the red carpet and during her performance.
