Tyra Banks made a great step forward and changed her TV show, America’s Next Top Model, by removing the upper age limit.
From now on, 27 years-old won’t be a limit anymore and older aspiring supermodels can apply to participate in the show.
In 23 cycles of America’s Next Top Model, she has always looked for supermodel aged 27 or less, but now she decided it was time to make a change. Through her Instagram profile, she delivered a video saying that many people asked her why the show imposed an age limit.
“I’m taking that age limit off. You want to audition for America’s Next Top Model? I don’t care how old you are, honey, you just need to know how to smize and be open to learning how to work the runway like a supermodel” said Tyra.
For cycle 23, Banks will pass the role as head judge to Rita Ora for covering an executive producer role. She will be back in her usual role from cycle 24 that will start in the summer.
