Dolce & Gabbana left the fashion world for a moment to explore another (tasty!) world, made of food and kitchen appliances.
The fashion brand teamed up with Italian home appliance company SMEG to create a colourful collection of kitchen devices, ranging from toasters to citrus juicers, coffee machines, kettles, blenders, stand mixers, and slow juicers.
The collection ‘Sicily Is My Love’ pays homage to the southern Italian region by embodying its folklore, colours and vitality. The design is inspired by Sicilian tradition featuring motifs like Mount Etna, ornamental friezes, decorative acanthus leaves, lemons, prickly pears, and bright red cherries. Flowers and leaves call to mind some Dolce & Gabbana fashion outfits seen often on the catwalks.
