Dior has chosen a peculiar location for its 2018 Cruise Collection fashion show, which is very far from the world most beautiful cities’ catwalks.
Brand’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri took the show to the Santa Monica Mountains Nature Preserve, where models walked down a sandy ground in midi dresses, utility jackets, chunky knits, cow-boy boots and leather sandals.
Guests were seated in airy tents offering a great view of the hills and hot-air balloons created a suggestive panorama.
Dior’s silk jacquard dresses and jackets took inspiration from the primitive wall paintings in Lascaux cave, which was inspired by Monsieur Christian Dior.
