Lily Collins has joined the cast of Dome Karukoski‘s Tolkien, the upcoming biopic detailing the journey of the Lord of the Rings author. Anthony Boyle (Scorpius Malfoy in the West End’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) also joins Collins to star alongside Nicholas Hoult as J.R.R. Tolkien.
Written by David Gleeson and Stephen Beresford, Tolkien explores the artistic inspiration the author found in his early life that sparked the book series that would later be adapted by Peter Jackson into two Hollywood trilogies.
Lily Collins joins the film as Edith Bratt, Tolkien’s eventual wife who inspired the elven princesses in Lord of the Rings. Collins was last seen in Netflix’s To The Bone, Marti Noxon‘s narrative on anorexia which also starred Keanu Reeves.
