The Belgium trio Brutus have just released the music video for their new single “Horde II”. The single is taken from their standout debut album Burst which was produced by Jesse Gander in Vancouver. Burst has been released via Hassle Records in February.
Stefanie, Stijn and Peter teamed up to start Brutus early in 2013. At first sight, the trio are not a perfect match because the three artists were influenced by different style of rock, the drummer vocalist Stefanie mixes black-metal blast beats with math-rock flourishes whilst guitarist Stijn Vanhoegaerden takes ethereal post-rock tones to hardcore punk levels of speed and energy aside.
With the time and many live performances, the band has managed to harmonize the different influences to create a unique and personal sound.
In “Horde II”. we can notice clear metal and hard rock influences. The singer voice is powerful and intense as the instrumental accompaniments. The quality of their performance is impressive bass guitar and drum are at mos for the whole song. The only flaw of the song is the slightly repetitive melody.
The “Horde II” music video was directed by Lee Holmes and it shows the band playing in a room of mirrors with led lights illuminating the instrument and faces of the group’s members, the rest of the room is wrapped in the dark.
Brutus will perform live all over the Uk this year make sure to get a ticket, while you are wetting you can watch their new music video for “Horde II” below
