For anyone else: ‘Carmen Sandiego‘ is an educational computer game franchise that follows Sandiego as she travels across the world stealing national treasures. She has been the main antagonist of several games. In addition, she was featured in multiple books, live-action game shows, and the animated series Where on Earth Is Carmen Sandiego?
After announcing last year that there will be an animated series following her, Netflix now came forward with another project surrounding Carmen Sandiego: A live action film. And they already have their actress for her. Gina Rodriguez who will also lend the animated character her voice will be portraying the famous antagonist on screen.
The film will be produced under the banner of her I Can and I Will production company. She will be accompanied in producing by Kevin Misher and Caroline Fraser. At the moment, there isn’t a director or writer attached to the project so there is still a long way to go.
