Jorja Smith – Blue Lights | Music Video

Currently in the midst of her third sold-out US tour, which included an outstanding debut appearance at Coachella – breakout star Jorja Smith has finally shared the beautiful black and white video to her debut, and now spotlighted single “Blue Lights”.

The stunning visual, shot by photographer Olivia Rose in Jorja’s hometown of Walsall, features an all-male cast, some of whom are recognisable in and around the local area; cameos from poet Benjamin Zephaniah, musicians Jaykae, Mist, Mike Skinner and the likes.

Though Jorja does not feature in the video directly, her narrative runs through. Included in the clip are the park where young Jorja played as a child, an appearance from her dad, plus the restaurant she performed her first ever gig in. Beautiful both in its meaning and aesthetic, the video to “Blue Lights” is a true ode to The Midlands.

The new video comes in the build up to the release of Jorja’s debut album Lost & Found, out on June 8. The rich fruit of Jorja’s past two years of work and an artistic statement intertwines infectious pop spirit with her youthful charisma, storytelling prowess – attributes that made her one of the UK’s most-loved female-breakthrough stars.
