19-year-old vocalist, musician and rapper Col3trane has unveiled the brand new video for “Tyler“. It is the third track to be taken from Col3trane’s recent critically-acclaimed BOOT mixtape for a visual accompaniment, following the previously unveiled Oscar Hudson-helmed double video for “Fear & Loathing” & “Britney“.
Directed by Felix Brady, who also directed Col3trane’s innovative video for “Language“, “Tyler” is the latest in a long series of visually-arresting visuals from the Londoner. Shot in one continuous take with a special one of a kind camera and motion control rig, the video finds Cole appearing in a series of split-personalities in a nod to the song’s title.
Discussing the concept behind the visuals, Col3trane reveals: “the video is supposed to show two sides of my character. the more confident and the more insecure. The caravan sorta acts like a metaphor for my head with all this mad stuff going on inside”
On the road this month, Col3trane is currently showcasing BOOT on his first Australian tour which includes dates at Listen Out festival alongside headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne. Following those dates, he will be returning for a full European tour with a much-anticipated sold out homecoming show at London’s Village Underground on October 8.
