American singer and songwriter Kehlani and the NYC singer Dounia have teamed up and dropped a fresh new music video to their first single together “Rich Girl Mood”.
The track is from the rising star, Dounia’s latest Album The Avant-Garden. She has collaborated with Kehlani for the first time. However, Kehlani is not only dropping back-to-back singles and preparing for her upcoming mixtape but she is also expecting her first baby. But the grind don’t stop for the artist and fans wait for Kehlani to bless them again with her new project.
In the music video, the two girls take over a clothing store after it closes. Cops try to track them down but they just sip champagne boutique, surrounded by fancy clothes as women of all shapes and sizes twerk around them.
The visual for “Rich Girl Mood” was directed by Tired Studio Production and released by Empire Distribution. Aside from her music career, Dounia is also a social media star. On Instagram, the activist promotes body positivity and POC visibility. And with this new record she makes her strongest statements.
The heist video is about feeling powerful, according to Dounia. She has told Dazed: “I love the fact that it’s a boastful ass anthem about female bosses. This song and video has levels to it. I love the fact that it’s all natural bodies, and cool ass women with amazing energy”.
