Hailing from South London, 19 year old emerging artist Zion is a fresh new act on the R&B scene who has been garnering real attention as of recent. Making a bold move to wrap up the year, he releases his brand new single “The Point“, exclusively with GRM Daily.
Described by Zion as “an eclectic contemporary R&B take on the rising UK Drill scene”, “The Point” follows the release of his massive previous singles “Friendzone” and “No Wahala“, which was his take on the legendary Afrobeats classic “Premier Gaou” by Ivorian group Magic System.
Filmed in London, the music video for “The Point” is directed by LX and is not a far cry from other drill videos due to the type of song. Of course Zion has to bring his mandem in but with Zion’s R&B flavour, the video comes with a more polished look.
Zion has come out in full force in 2018, showing the level of versatility that he possesses and “The Point” has definitely cemented the beginning of ZION’s rise.
