Pop singer Dua Lipa is the new ambassador of YSL Beauty. She shared the news via Instagram with her 30+ million followers, saying that it was “the hardest secret to keep”. The Grammy winner joins fellow star Zoe Kravitz who has been YSL beauty’s global makeup ambassador since 2017.
A Yves Saint Laurent spokesperson told WWD why the singer is the right fit for the brand: “The voice of her generation, Dua Lipa embodies the values of independence and freedom, which have always been part of Yves Saint Laurent’s DNA.”
Talking about the partnership with the Haute Couture House, the “New Rules” singer wrote on her Instagram: “Thank you to the incredible YSL beauty team for making me feel so at home, for allowing me to play a small role in helping choose the final scent and for making my dreams come true on working with a brand I love so much.”

She also shared photos of the behind the scenes of her campaign, shot in Paris by the photographer Nabil Elderkin. Also, the full campaign will set to debut in September 2019.
Lipa has made a splash in fashion, too, having been the cover girl of British Vogue and Elle US, plus she made a breakthrough appearance at the MET gala.
