Patrick Wilson, star of Little Children and Hard Candy, is seemingly trying to crack the comedy genre with the Home Sweet Hell trailer making its rounds. Today, I watched the Red Band Trailer for his new comedy, Stretch and I am astounded. I have no idea what I just watched. At just 1;39 minutes running time, the trailer attempts to crush in as many wacky, offensive, shocking and dodgy characters as it can. With its swearing, nudity, action and general craziness, Stretch looks nuts.
Wilson joins director, Joe Carnahan, in this salacious film about a limo driver who lands himself in hot water after taking on a crazy customer who offers him a helping hand in paying off his betting fees. The crazy customer in question is played by Chris Pine, where he spots are particularly wild beard. With a big cast including Ed Helms, Jessica Alba, Norman Reedus and Ray Liotta, I’m not sure what to make of the Stretch trailer. The impressive comedic cast could bring in some big laughs but take a look and see what you think! Stretch is available to download online now and will get a limited UK screening release December 5, 2014.
