The words “She’s Back” were printed in beige on the mysterious, all-black post shared on both Puma‘s main Instagram and its style Instagram. The Fenty and Puma logos were also printed underneath the words in the same colour. The caption was only modified to read “Coming soon,” without any indication of when exactly that will be.
The singer and the company have a lengthy relationship. The fashion icon took over as the company’s creative director in 2014, and during that time, she made her debut in the fashion industry with a line of highly sought-after shoes like the iconic fluffy slides and displayed her talent with a number of New York Fashion Week shows.
In 2017, six years after her first collaboration with the company, Rihanna debuted a diverse runway collection of original athleisure and schoolwear fusion looks.
She launched her ground-breaking makeup line, Fenty Beauty, the same year she released her most recent collection, releasing a then-unprecedented 40 foundation shades in more shades than all of her rivals combined.
This announcement follows the artist’s already successful start to the year. The celebrity booked a performance on the biggest stage in the world when she sang at the Super Bowl Halftime Show last month after giving birth to a child with A$AP Rocky in May.
Prior to appearing on the cover of British Vogue with her partner and their child for its March issue, the star gave a solo performance where she revealed, she is expecting her second child in a head-to-toe red ensemble.
Although it’s unclear how or when this new Puma and Rihanna collaboration will look, fans are already expressing excitement for the upcoming collection.
