Irish singer-songwriter Elise has returned with her soulful and evocative new single, “I Don’t Mind,” which was released on November 8th.
This marks the first single from her forthcoming five-track EP, I’ve Been Here, slated for release in early 2025. With its soft indie sound and emotionally resonant lyrics, “I Don’t Mind” explores themes of resilience, self-worth, and staying true to one’s identity, even in the face of opposition.
Recorded at Crossroads Studio and produced by Dave Holland of Wicked Little Atoms at Polar Planet Studios, the track is a testament to Elise’s ability to weave meaningful narratives into her music.

Elise, a Kilkenny native, has carved a niche for herself in Ireland’s indie and folk scene since her debut EP These Thoughts in 2019. This project earned her significant national radio play on stations like RTE Radio 1 and KCLR and led to sold-out performances in iconic Irish venues such as The Set Theatre in Kilkenny and Bello Bar in Dublin.
Despite the setbacks of the pandemic, Elise kept her momentum alive by turning her focus online, with her 2020 single “Cowboy” gaining over 30,000 new listeners in its first week thanks to Spotify’s Fresh Folk playlist.
The release of “I Don’t Mind” signals a new chapter in Elise’s artistic journey. Drawing inspiration from her classical training, her small-town Irish upbringing, and personal experiences, Elise’s music combines raw emotional depth with masterful storytelling.
