January 8, 2015, will see a fantastic auction taking place in Graceland, Memphis, as part of the annual celebration of Elvis Presley’s birthday – he would have been turning 80. Sixty authentic artifacts are up for sale, and you can begin bidding for them two weeks before the live auction takes place. The items up for auction are owned by third party buyers, and have been professionally researched by Graceland’s authenticators. Included among the sixty artefacts, are Elvis Presley’s first driver’s licence, and a acetate of the King’s first recordings, produced at Memphis Recording Services in June 1953. The tracks that feature on this rarity are “My Happiness”, and its B-side “That’s When Your Heartaches Begin”.
