Actor and Bollywood star Veena Malik recently re-enacted her own wedding to her husband Asad Bashir Kahn in the scene that has been said to be blasphemous. She and her husband, who is a businessman, have both been given 26 year jail sentences for the act that took place in Pakistan. The scene is said to have been vaguely related to the marriage of the prophet Muhammad’s daughter. Currently Malik isn’t in Pakistan, but it’s her plan to return and challenge the courts over the decision of the lifelong jail sentence, she has stated that she feels confident about the sentence being dropped as she believes in the power of the higher courts.
