Kisanii, in conjunction with the WAM campaign, proudly present Afrika Rising, a charitable Arts showcase featuring the hottest talent from Africa. Kisanii was founded in 2013 with the purpose of providing a platform for emerging creatives of African origin to showcase their work. With such emphasis on fledgling artists, the upcoming December showcase features the likes of Moelogo, Kwamz & Flava, Silvastone, Aina More, DJ Afro B, S-K, Rayon Nelson and Anjelo Dixon.
Kisanii’s mandate extends beyond simply promoting the Arts and aims to highlight the positive social, economical and cultural aspects of the African experience. To this end Kisanii are thrilled to partner with the WAM campaign for the December showcase. WAM, a UK registered charity, provides volunteer programmes in Ghana through by forming and leveraging its relationships with organisations, volunteers and corporate partners who share their vision.
WAM’s ethos is ‘people helping people’ to bring about their vision of a world where young people are not denied access to opportunity on the basis of their financial circumstance. They do this by CONNECTING, EMPOWERING AND MOBILISING stakeholders to be part of the development process.
Afrika Rising will be held at Plan B, 418 Brixton Road, London SW9 7AY on the 7th of December 2014. Doors open at 7pm, and tickets, including VIP, can be purchased from here.
