With his recent Alien concept art work stirring up excitement, Neill Blomkamp is getting a lot of buzz and now a new trailer for his next movie Chappie is making its rounds also. Following films like District 9 and Elysium, Blomkamp’s new project takes a futuristic feel as he tells the story of Chappie, a young robot who’s gifted with artificial intelligence and finds a family in a group of dysfunctional humans.
Starring Hugh Jackman, Sigourney Weaver and Dev Patel, Blomkamp’s latest flick approaches this subject matter with bravery and wonder, looking at the moral and ethical issues of a human-like robot, while showing off some serious action. I think Chappie is definitely one to watch for 2015, check out the trailer and see what you think. Also starring Sharlto Copley; Chappie hits theatres on March 6.
