Dublin trio Cloud Castle Lake are creating stunning music that sounds like the love-child of Radiohead and Sigur Ros. The band introduced themselves last year with their alluring debut EP Dandelion which highlighted a promising musical curiosity and exploration. On their latest single “Glacier”, the band have pushed their capabilities and created a song that builds and transcends into a spectacular pinnacle.
“Glacier” slowly ascends through near classical piano, rolling drums and the alien vocals of singer Daniel McAuley until it reaches its passionate conclusion. Every layer of the track builds perfectly, every vocal cry adds to the power and restraint of Cloud Castle Lake’s energy. “Glacier” is set for official release on March 16 through Happy Valley Records and is available to stream below.
