Michael Fassbender takes on the role of cowboy in the new trailer for John Maclean‘s western Slow West. The flick tells the story of sixteen year old Jay (Kodi Smit-McPhee) as he travels across 19th Century frontier America, searching for the woman he loves, all while being accompanied by strange traveler Silas (Fassbender).
The trailer has a really cool, black comedy tone to it with a brilliant contemporary style of filming to this classic narrative. Fassbender’s ability to commit to interesting and unique characters never fails to impress me and this looks like no exception. He’s accompanied by the likes of Smit-McPhee, Rory McCann, Ben Mendelsohn and Brooke Williams, who all seem to play brilliantly interesting characters! I’m pretty optimistic for this flick and certainly intrigued! Slow West will get a limited theatre release later this year.
