Last year, Nike declared March 26 as ‘Air Max Day’, but somehow, this year seemed to be more important, it stopped being just a celebration of the initial release of the Air Max 1 in 1987, and became an epic consumer event. This explains to me why my Instagram feed is full of people wearing, wanting, selling and buying Air Max trainers, this even gave Nike the opportunity to have a whole new evolution to this silhouette: the Air Max Zero, based on one of the first sketches for the original design. Continuing with the celebration, Nike is presenting the Air Max Archives, providing a profound look at the timeline of classic models, such as the original Air Max 1 and the infamous Air Max 90, showing the classic contour and variety of designs.
