In a recent feature on Entertainment Weekly, Ben Affleck has revealed what could be the motivation for Batman against Superman in the upcoming film Batman vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice. The rampant destruction at the end of Man Of Steel is related to Black Zero, which is huge in this universe, as it means a lot of Bruce Wayne’s acquaintances and friends have been killed as a result, which explains why Batman wants to take Superman on.
“One of the things I liked was Zack’s idea of showing accountability and the consequences of violence and seeing that there are real people in those buildings… And in fact, one of those buildings was Bruce Wayne’s building so he knew people who died in that Black Zero event“, Ben Affleck told Entertainment Weekly about why the Dark Knight might want to possibly confront Superman in the upcoming movie, which hits cinemas on March 25, 2016.
