Supertramp’s first live performances since their 2010 European tour have been cancelled due to health issues. The band’s founder Rick Davies was recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma and has started aggressive treatment to prevent the disease getting any worse. The tour was due to kick off on November 3 in Portugal and continue to tour 25 other European cities with the final date in Amsterdam.
Rick Davies said about the cancellation, “I was really looking forward to returning to Europe and playing with the band again and I’m sorry to disappoint everyone who has overwhelmingly supported the upcoming tour. Unfortunately my current health issues have derailed me and right now i need to focus all of my energy on getting well”. All tickets will be refunded.
