Foo Fighters amazed fans on Saturday in a number of ways. Firstly the return of the rock band to the UK and secondly they created the ultimate “super duper group“. The band played at Milton Keynes Bowl, on Saturday 5, after having to cancel their gigs at Glastonbury and Wembley Stadium in June due to frontman Dave Grohl injuring his leg. The band played a two-and-a-half-hour set and Grohl was performing from a giant, motorised throne that he designed himself whilst he was in hospital. He told the audience as the gig started “We came back for you! We waited a long time to be here“.

The rock legend continued “It’s been about eleven weeks since the incident. The last thing I wanted to do was cancel shows. I hate cancelling shows. I’m sorry for making you wait so long. Who’s gonna lose their voice first? Not me“.  The band was joined on stage by Queen’s Roger Taylor and Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones to play “Under Pressure”. Grohl said to the crowd “I don’t know if ya’ll have ever seen a super group? Well, This is a super-duper group. Let me just tell you that the Foo Fighters, right now, are living out our rock’n’roll fantasy“.

The group are due to head back to North America after Tuesday’s show in Edinburgh. Watch Foo Fighters “Something From Nothing” below
