On September 18 during an interview with The Breakfast Club, Waka Flocka Flame expressed his opinion on people who are transgender, Caitlyn Jenner in particular. In short, he said that promoting it on TV was “evil”, accused her of “rebuking God”, and said that kids shouldn’t be exposed to people like her. Unsurprisingly, this caused a stir amongst people who think otherwise. In response, he took to Twitter yesterday (September 20) and apologised for using the word “evil”, but not much else. “I have nothing against transgender people. I simply feel we need to be careful what our children see as sensationalized” he says before adding: “Children’s brains are a constant development to adulthood. And they pay attention to everything whether we want to accept it or not”. To really drive the point home, a later tweet reads: “IM NOT A FAN OF TRANSGENDERS MARKETED LIKE A SUPERHERO”.
