Colin Farrell and Gladiator actor Russell Crowe play the two leading roles in the forthcoming fantasy film Winter’s Tale, as shown by the first official UK trailer.
The film is set in 19th Century and present day Manhattan, New York and the film synopsis focuses on the love story between Beverly, a dying girl played by Jessica Brown Findlay and a thief played by Colin Farrell. Upon breaking into the girl’s house and trying to steal her property, Farrell becomes enthralled with her. She reciprocates his feelings and so he begins to court her, both knowing her death is imminent.
Russell Crowe plays pure evil in this film as a servant to the devil, who destroys people souls. Crowe believes that human Colin Farrell is capable of saving the dying girl’s life but he doesn’t want this to happen, so puts a bounty on Farrell’s head. Hundred years pass, set in modern day Manhattan and everyone is dead with the exception of Farrell and Crowe. Watch them go head to head in this thrilling fantasy tale on the strength of true love. The film is in UK cinemas from February 21, 2014.
