Marvel is after another award winning actor, this time it is Cate Blanchett for Thor: Ragnarok . Blanchett can currently be seen in the cinemas in the critically appraised Carol. Variety have reported she could be playing The Asgardian known as Valkyrie or an unnamed female villain. Blanchett would be appearing alongside Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk.
Director of vampire comedy What We Do In The Shadows Taika Waititi is confirmed to direct. So despite the apocalyptic promise of the Ragnarok expect some light-hearted balance. Thor Ragnarok is due for release October 2017. Watch this space for more news as it appears.
