Actor Lindsay Lohan recently appeared on talk show host Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show, hinting that the cast of Mean Girls may be reuniting for what could mean a Mean Girls sequel or a new project involving the original Mean Girls cast members. Fallon suggested that his show should be the place the cast of Mean Girls reunite.
The original cast included Lindsay Lohan (Cady), Rachel McAdams (Regina George), Lacey Chabert (Gretchen), Amanda Seyfried (Karen) and Tina Fey who wrote the film. Lohan revealed she met Fey backstage at The Tonight Show and the reunion idea was discussed, with Fey and Lorne Michaels who produced the first film, apparently currently in talks for a reunion.
Michaels is the creator of sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL) and Tina Fey is a long-term collaborator on the show. Mean Girls will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary next month.
