Search engine giant Google has announced via its Google plus page that it will be working with Italian Eyewear manufacturer Luxottica Group to design, develop, and distribute a new breed of eye-wear for Google Glass, two major proprietaries Oakley and Ray-Ban will also be part of this collaboration with Glass.
When Google made the announcement, they said it envisions the ‘Glass’ eyewear as a natural evolution of everyday glasses. The Google Glass is a tiny stamp sized screen attached to a pair of glass frames, it shows the drastic evolution of technology as you can record videos and access email and you’re able to get information from the web wirelessly.
The company wrote on its blog: “Nowadays, glasses are global phenomenon—a reflection of both function and fashion. We see Glass as the next chapter in this long story”, while Luxottica chief executive officer Andrea Guerra said: “We believe that a strategic partnership with a leading player like Google is the ideal platform for developing a new way forward in our industry and answering the evolving needs of consumers on a global scale”.
The first collection produced by this pairing is said to combine high-end technology with avant-garde design which will be offering the best in style, quality and performance; however details about these new products will be unveiled at a later date.
