Following the release of their previous collaboration “Only You“, Theophilus London and Tame Impala have unveiled their brand new single, “Whiplash” – officially premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show as his World Record.
Packed with a dynamic blend of both artist’s signature styles, the groovy and solid track further displays the enduring love affair between Tame Impala and hip-hop. “Whiplash” dates back to 2016, when it was debuted during an event hosted by Boiler Room and Virgil Abloh.
Citing influences that include Michael Jackson and Prince as well as Kraftwerk and The Smiths, Trinidadian-born American singer/rapper Theophilus London is best known for his delivery and bars. The single also marks as Theophilus London’s newest work following his 2018 mixtape, Nights B4 BeyBey. As for Tale Impala, they recently announced a fresh batch of tour dates in anticipation of a new album.
