We all love Christmas, that’s undeniable, and the season wouldn’t be the same without Christmas-y ambient music – and a Christmas tree in the living room, alright. That’s why Geographic North has announced a cassette series called Sketch for Winter, featuring four different artists exploring winter themes, running from December to March. The first release features the Philadelphian six-piece A Sunny Day In Glasgow, is titled Sketch for Winter I: New Christmas Classics and it’s out on December 3.
Future installments include Rue Corridor created by Pan America (out on January 6), Green Sleeves by All the Saints’ band member Matt Lambert (out in February) and Care Package by Moses Archuleta of Deerhunter (out in March).
