Michael Nelson, known professionally as BANNERS, continues his prolific musical journey in 2023 with the release of his latest single, “Anywhere For You”, on November 3 via Nettwerk. The award-winning singer-songwriter from Liverpool has had a busy year, beginning with the release of his EP I Wish I Was Flawless, I’m Not and following up with widely praised singles such as “Have You Ever Loved Someone”, “Name In Lights”, “Tell You I Love You” and “C’est La Vie”. His new single “Anywhere For You” further cements his status as a versatile and innovative artist in the music industry.

Speaking about the new single, BANNERS expressed, “Life is a journey and it’s going to have its ups and downs. No relationship is simple and nothing worth doing is ever easy. Sometimes you have to let someone know that you’re going to be there through it all.
I decided to do that in a song but feel free to just actually tell someone to their face if you’re not cripplingly shy like me. I’m hiding behind big strings and dramatic drums here but you do you. A phone message might be a nice compromise.”
BANNERS’ musical journey began at a young age, singing daily after school in one of the UK’s most renowned cathedrals. His career took a significant turn when a demo CD he made reached Grammy-nominated producer Stephen Kozmeniuk.
His first single rapidly climbed to number one on the alternative radio charts in Canada, accumulating 10 million Spotify streams overnight and leading to a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
His song “Someone To You” became a viral sensation on TikTok, earning over 1.5 billion streams and achieving Platinum and Gold status in multiple countries, including a notable appearance on American Idol.
His recent EP, I Wish I Was Flawless, I’m Not, draws on personal experiences, focusing on themes of friendship, family, and love, especially relevant during challenging times.
