Following the success of the debut album The Back Foot and The Rapture this year, singer/songwriter Adam French makes no delay in returning with new material. The first taste of new music comes in the form of the gorgeous “Slow Dancing”
Co-written with Jonathan Quarmby (Tom Walker, Lewis Capaldi), “Slow Dancing” is a delicate, stripped-back gem. Breaking into a rousing chorus, it’s an effervescent wave that belies the fraught and thoughtful lyricism that Adam has made his calling card.
Speaking on the track, Adam states: “‘Slow dancing’ is a song about resetting the clock, re-starting a relationship and giving each other the chance to care again. Forgiveness and understanding with a hint of self-destruction.”
With critical acclaim coming from across the spectrum – from the likes of Dua Lipa to Tony Hawk, Adam has also picked up support from the likes of BBC Introducing and Communion Live. His new release looks set to further cement his continuing emergence into public consciousness as a surefire one to watch. Adam is a rising star for 2019.
