Norwegian artist Aleks Grey has unveiled his latest single, “Someone Else,” which explores the complexities of unrequited love and the frustration of being stuck in the “friend zone.” The track captures the emotional turmoil of longing for someone who confides in you about their heartaches over another person, while you’re silently hoping they’ll see you differently.
“Someone Else” delves into the familiar yet painful situation of being a close confidant to someone you have feelings for, only to hear them lament, “Why isn’t everyone like you?” Despite offering support and comfort, the person remains fixated on someone else, leaving you to question your own choices and emotions.
Grey’s poignant lyrics express the inner conflict of loving someone who doesn’t reciprocate those feelings and the hope that one day they might see you as more than just a friend.
