The singer artist and 15-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys is set to host the 2019 Grammy Awards for the first time.
Keys has shared a video with behind-the-scenes footage that captures the artist receiving the offer during a telephone call. Moreover, the singer then goes on to share the exciting news with her family including her husband Swizz Beatz and her children.
The artist has spoken about her excitement and gratitude for this opportunity and what she will be looking forward to: “I know what it feels like to be on that stage, and I’m going to bring that vibe and energy. I’m so excited to be the master of ceremonies on the biggest night in music and celebrate the creativity, power and, magic. I’m especially excited for all the incredible women nominated this year”.

On Sunday, February 10, the 2019 Grammy Awards will air on CBS from Staples Centre in Los Angeles. One of the year’s lead nominees are rap artist Kendrick Lamar with eight nominations and Drake with seven.
Alicia Keys won her recent Grammy for Best R&B Album for her 2014 Girl On Fire and is currently preparing an upcoming project which follows her last 2016 album Here.
