Let’s talk about one of the most important events of the year: The Royal Wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the current Duke and Duchess of Sussex. On Saturday May 19, the couple got married at St George’s Chapel, and celebrated in Windsor Castle. It was one of the most beautiful weddings we’ve ever seen.
The Duchess, Meghan Markle, was wearing a stunning Givency Dress. The Duchess and Ms. Waight Keller worked closely together on the design, epitomising a timeless minimal elegance, referencing the codes of the iconic House of Givenchy.
Ms. Waight Keller designed a veil representing the distinctive flora of all 53 Commonwealth countries united in one spectacular floral composition. The Duchess of Sussex borrowed the tiara of Queen Mary from Queen Elizabeth II herself. Reportedly, the adornment vaulting Meghan’s 16-foot-veil was originally made for Queen Mary, the Princess of Teck.
More than 2000 guests attended the wedding, including multiple Royal Families, friends and family and Meghan’s filming ex-mates. Her dad couldn’t attend due to a heart surgery, and a very important part of Markle’s family weren’t invited, a decision of the bride and the Royal Family. Her mum, Doria Ragland didn’t miss the date, and she was so emotional during the ceremony.
One of the most memorable moments happened when Meghan joined Harry on the altar and he said to her: “You look amazing, I’m so lucky” and our hearts melted.
For her second dress, Meghan chose an amazing dress signed by Stella McCartney. Prince Harry wore a suit highly different from his first one, following the tradition of wearing military attire.
Some official pictures have been unveiled today including the one with all the Royal Family and with all the Bridesmaids and Page Boys.
We are deeply happy for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and wish them a long and happy life together.
