Apple Model Management have announced that they will be opening an all transgender modelling agency in Los Angeles. The agency became the first in modelling agency history to have a transgender division when it launched one in Thailand last year. Cecilio Asuncion, the agency’s Los Angeles director shared to the Advocate that trans individuals are just as beautiful and that their gender actually is not even a question when it comes to casting, because they are looking for passion and commitment in an individual to become them successful and “the best possible models they can be“. Asuncion also directed a documentary called What’s the T? in 2012, where he show the lives of five trans women and gave an eye-opening insight into the trans experience.
