Renowned artist and producer Alice Ivy has officially released her latest single, “Do I Need To Know What Love Is?”, featuring the soulful voice of GRAMMY Award-winning Josh Teskey from The Teskey Brothers.
This collaboration serves as the final single from Ivy’s highly anticipated third studio album, “Do What Makes You Happy”, which is dated to debute on November 22 via Helix Records.
Known for her intricately layered electronic compositions, Ivy has opted for a more minimalistic approach in this new single additionally the involvement of Teskey’s distinctive vocal range adds a new dimension to Ivy’s already rich soundscape.
“Do I Need To Know What Love Is?” is crafted with mesmerising fusion of orchestral and electronic instrumentation infused with pop influences. the result is a distinctive sound that features OutKast-inspired horns, shimmering production, and childlike choral arrangements, all of which amplify Teskey’s emotive performance.
Melbourne-based artist Alice Ivy, originally known as Annika Schmarsel, has poured her passion for collaboration, her love of music, and her drive to create into a full-length record that captures her journey as a rising auteur.
Raised in Geelong, Ivy honed her musical skills in soul bands before transitioning to electronic production after moving to Melbourne, where she embraced the freedom to shape her own sound in her Brunswick home studio. With I’m Dreaming, Ivy takes full control: writing, producing, arranging, and even lending her vocals to the album.
