The American alternative rock band Awolnation, formed and fronted by Aaron Bruno have just announced their third studio album entitled Here Come The Runts which is set to be released on February 2, 2018.
To accompany this announcement is a brand new track entitled “Seven Sticks Of Dynamite” that the band have just delivered, and now everybody is able to listen to it. This single follows the release of “Passion” which was the #1 most added at US Alternative Radio and currently #19 on the Alt Radio charts.
After the success of their latest album Run in 2015, the frontman started creating the new record in 2016, while he was in his home studio nestled in the coastal mountain range separating the Pacific Ocean and the suburbs of Los Angeles. For Bruno, this isolated location is important and indeed is reflected throughout the album.
“The record definitely has a feel to it that seems parallel to the vibe of this mountain and the land. It’s like a non-GMO record. There’s no fake shit on there, none of the vocals are tuned. It’s all real playing“, he has explained.
He added that, “With this record I really wanted to make a rock n’ roll/pop album, and I say ‘pop’ how I grew up listening to it, in the sense of Dire Straits or Born In The U.S.A or The Cars or Tom Petty“.
